2026 Q1 Highlights - Cork Area Commuter Rail

Over the coming weeks we’re looking back at some of the highlights of the first quarter of 2026.

We’re starting with the progress on the Cork Area Commuter Rail (CACR) Project.

We were pleased to welcome our client Alstom, along with the end client Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail, to our facility in Mansfield for the Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of the Principal Supply Points that will support the project.

Factory Acceptance Testing is a key milestone, ensuring equipment has been fully assembled, tested, and verified before installation on site.

✔ 4 PSP units successfully tested

✔ Delivered in collaboration with Alstom and Irish Rail

✔ Supporting the development of the Cork Area Commuter Rail network

A great step forward for the project and a credit to the teams involved in design, manufacture and testing.

We look forward to supporting the next stages of the CACR programme.
