OVERVIEW

Appointed by Siemens Mobility as a specialist delivery partner, Kent Group played a key role in the Birmingham New Street Area Re-signalling Phase 7 programme, delivering critical signalling power infrastructure within one of the UK's busiest and most operationally demanding railway stations. Over a three-year programme, our specialist engineering teams supported the modernisation of the station's ageing signalling power network, helping to provide the resilient electrical infrastructure required for future railway operations.

Working within a live operational railway, Kent Group delivered new Principal Supply Points (PSPs), Functional Supply Points (FSPs), 650V signalling power feeders, DNO connections and associated power infrastructure. Through close collaboration with Siemens Mobility and Network Rail, the project successfully introduced a more resilient, automatically reconfigurable signalling power network while maintaining operational continuity throughout the programme.
