OVERVIEW
As part of the Victoria Area Re-signalling Programme, Kent Group was appointed by Siemens Mobility to deliver specialist signalling power infrastructure works in support of one of the UK's largest railway modernisation programmes.
Delivered over a 2.5-year period, our scope focused on the design integration, manufacture, installation and commissioning of critical signalling power assets across multiple operational locations within the Victoria route.

Working collaboratively as part of Siemens Mobility's wider delivery team, Kent Group provided the specialist electrical engineering expertise required to successfully integrate new Principal Supply Points (PSPs), Functional Supply Points (FSPs), DNO supplies and associated signalling power infrastructure into a live operational railway. Through careful planning, close collaboration and disciplined delivery, the project enhanced network resilience while supporting the successful delivery of the wider Victoria Re-signalling Programme.

THE CHALLENGE
Live Railway
Maintaining operational signalling power throughout delivery.
Future Network Capacity
Designing infrastructure capable of supporting future phases of the Victoria Re-signalling Programme through spare feeder capacity and auto reconfiguration systems.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Working closely with Siemens Mobility and Network Rail to coordinate engineering, commissioning and staged delivery.
THE SOLUTION
Kent Group delivered a comprehensive signalling power solution comprising four new Principal Supply Points, six new DNO supplies, twenty-four Functional Supply Points, new 650V feeder arrangements and approximately seven kilometres of signalling power cabling. The programme also incorporated Auto Reconfiguration equipment and Power Management Systems (PMS/SCADA), providing enhanced monitoring, operational flexibility and resilience while creating capacity for future expansion.
