Continuing our Q1 2026 project highlights series, we’re looking at some of the milestones our teams have achieved across the rail network.

This week we’re highlighting the Glasgow Central Principal Supply Point Relocation Project.

Delivered at Scotland’s busiest station, and handed over to the client in January 2026, this project involved the design, manufacture, construction and commissioning of a new segregated Principal Supply Point to remove asbestos-related access risks and protect critical railway systems.

The challenge was delivering complex safety-critical works within a live operational environment, with no disruption to services.

But what stands out most isn’t just what we delivered — it’s how we delivered it.

✔ 15 months from concept to handover

✔ Zero accidents/incidents

✔ Zero train delays

✔ No impact on the operational railway

That doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because of meticulous planning, open collaboration with Network Rail and their partners, with a shared commitment to doing things the right way.

Most importantly, the new segregated Principal Supply Point now provides a safer, more resilient foundation for the future of Glasgow Central Area — protecting services relied upon by millions of passengers every year.

A project we’re incredibly proud of — and a testament to the skill and dedication of everyone involved.
